JAWS x Looking for Wild: one day, one river, two takes on the outdoors

There was no brief. Just a river, a late-summer day, and two brands that wanted to meet on the same ground.

Looking for Wild designs technical clothing meant to never leave your body — from climbing to everyday life, without breaking style or comfort. JAWS designs packrafts and gear meant to never leave the river. Both brands share the same belief: outdoor equipment shouldn't have to choose between technical demand and real life.

So we put the packrafts on the water and let the day happen.

Drifting, without rushing

No minute-by-minute plan. Just the current, a few paddle strokes to stay on course, and the rest of the time spent drifting. The TOUQ strapped to the bow, keeping the camera and gear dry without a second thought — that was the whole point: travel light, and stop worrying about anything else.

The Looking for Wild pieces did exactly what they're built for: move with you on the water, then feel just as easy once you're sitting on a gravel bank, no need to change in between.

The real point: slowing down

What a river and a good pair of technical pants have in common is that neither needs to perform to be worth it. The day wrapped up in full chill mode on a sandbank, packrafts resting nearby, no goal beyond simply being there.

Maybe that's the real common ground between JAWS and Looking for Wild: two brands making demanding gear for people who, at the end of the day, just want to enjoy the outdoors without thinking about it.
