Multi-day packrafting trips: a whole new dimension!

Le packraft en itinérance sur plusieurs jours : une autre dimension !

Something shifts as soon as you spend more than a day on a river.
On a single day trip, you already fully enjoy it: the adrenaline, the scenery, the pleasure of being outdoors. But part of your mind remains focused on what comes next—the car, the drive home, dinner. Over several days, these thoughts fade away. By the second morning, somewhere deep in a canyon, surrounded by red walls with the river within reach, you are simply there, fully present.

The Gorges de Daluis, in the south of France, perfectly illustrate this. This canyon, carved by the Var river through deep red porphyry rock, plunges into the Alpes-Maritimes. From the road high above, the spectacle is already impressive. But from within—on foot and on the water, over two days—the experience takes on a whole new dimension. Entire sections, impossible to reach otherwise, are revealed when traversed by packraft, with the time to linger there.

This is the true richness of packrafting expeditions: combining access and immersion. You progress at the pace of the terrain, you bivouac where the canyon leads you, and when you wake up, you are still immersed in it.

JAWS packrafts are designed for this type of adventure: light enough to be carried between two river sections, stable enough to tackle the waters of the Var, and streamlined enough so that the equipment serves the experience.
