In 2015, while on vacation in Canada, I embarked on a canoe trip down the Saguenay River. At the time, true to the trapper spirit, I envisioned nothing other than an open canoe – a "canot" as the Québécois say. But a friend told me about something called a… packraft. A packraft, what??

In a few seconds, he explained the concept to me: lightness, compactness, strength, stability…

Okay, a packraft it is! I was convinced. And what a surprise, from the very first hours of paddling! I immediately perceived the enormous potential of this craft. For six days, on the water, on foot, bivouacking, I had a memorable adventure. An unforgettable memory, made possible thanks to the packraft.

In 2020, after I had just created JAWS with Mathieu Forichon, I started designing my first model. A decisive meeting with Antoine, a passionate guide, allowed me to quickly envision boats adapted to our alpine rivers.

After several prototypes and much imagination, our first production packraft was born. Later that year, Antoine naturally joined the JAWS adventure. He was soon followed by Thierry, an ingenious and talented engineer, who quickly became indispensable.

In 2024, we unveiled the GAIA 4.0 Packraft to the public. The positive reception was immediate, from individuals to resellers and even explorers. Its innovative 3-in-1 concept, a single model for three uses, clearly set JAWS apart from the competition. This stage also marked the arrival of Céline, who quickly became essential.

To structure the concepts, plans, and design, Guillaume and Michael joined us. Their calm, experience, and skills quickly became vital in the creation of our new products.

Since then, the team has grown even more. Eloha, our brilliant designer, allows you to see us everywhere, all the time. Nolan "THE" marketing maestro, joined the adventure to lead our marketing team with passion and energy. Camil, the image magician with inexhaustible inspiration, animates our visual worlds and brings JAWS to life on social networks.

To support this great momentum, we needed a captain on the financial side. A meeting at OSV and on the river, of course... and Sylvain evidently joined JAWS.

Anniken, Norwegian and a true competitor at heart, also a ski champion, came to strengthen the team for Northern Europe.

Today, we form a close-knit, collaborative, and competent team, driven by a common passion: adventure, nature, freedom.
